Haiti.

I’ve been back from Haiti for a few days now. Slowing starting to catch back up with life. I have so many ideas rolling through my head/projects that I want to do for Haiti. I went with 3 seams ( www.3seams.com ) New website, blog, and promo videos coming soon! I’m excited to get everything wrapped and out for everyone to see! The launch date is July 1! I am having a trunk show at my apartment with dresses and accessories from 3 seams and jewelry from the apparent project on June 25!!

I met so many families who live in tents and/or small cement homes. The families who had the 1 room cement home that is about the size of my small office in my apartment, were SO proud! They invited us in to look around and told stories of their family!

More to come later once we are finished and ready to post the images and video! Above are random photos from my iphone. Most of which were taken riding down the road! : )

I’m on day 3 in Haiti, my birthday!! I’m here with my friend Inga and her daughter Skylar. So far we have totally redesigned her website and done a few small photo shoots. The people I have met here are great and I hope to be able to keep in touch with a few of them!! Today we cleaned and organized 3 rooms here in the mission home we are staying in. We set up the new office and sewing room for 3 seams and are so excited about the way it turned out!! I’m looking forward to a few projects coming up in the next few days!!

Well…Haiti is amazing. It is super different. (: Today I look over and there is a HOG walking down the middle of the street. Or I looked over when I first arrived and there is like 35 yr old man peeing on a public wall in the middle of EVERYONE! Ha. There are goats everywhere….(: I hung out with some kids today and a little boy (ULove) was talking to me but I could not understand him cuz he was speaking Creole…so I asked his sister(Audreana) what he was saying and she says he asked If you eat….then she giggled and said “we have to teach you Creole.” (: I laughed and said “yes you do.” : Audreana today was singing Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord. It was cute….(: Last night I walked in side the house and there was a bug 3 inches loong maybe longer..!
